The Buckley Family move in, but not without some building surprises. The air-conditioning upstairs had a malfunctioned thermostat that needed replacement. The LG "not to old" 

washing machine leaked like a sieve into the basement.  And finally one of the double hung windows has a crack in it.  Hopefully the things that come in three, has left the building.

 

Rectory Renovations

 

Late June 2016: Rectory completed in the interior.

Early May 2016:

Kitchen cabinets and 4 new appliances installed, 2 new commodes and a bathtub replaced. Walls and radiators painted, outlets raised off floor, wall trim painted and replaced. 85% completed

 

April 2016: Interior support structures above kitchen ceiling repaired from severe water damage,  active electrical knob and tube wiring was found and romex wire replaced,  plaster walls replaced with sheetrock, currently spackling, new tile floors in kitchen and baths, new cabinets and appliances in house ready for installation, new front door and french door to patio. 60% complete

 

March 2016 Renovations have begun! Gutting old lathe plaster walls and ceilings, removing trim boards, disconnecting radiators, open up walls and ceiling for reinsulation and electrical access. 30% complete.

 

​February 2016  Contract for renovations awarded to P & E Construction.
 

January 2016: Revised Scope of Work written and was approved by Vestry at Jan 13th meeting. Revised Scope of Work has been mailed out to all 3 previous submitting contractors with cover letter, explaining requirements.  

 

December 2015:  Vestry reviewed original Scope of Work and selected a Building Committee. Committee persons are:

Al Roe, Pam Stewart and Ginny Everitt. Committee to review and revise the Scope of Work for renovations of the Rectory.

 

November 2015:  As of Nov. 1st only (2) two written estimates have been recieved and the Diocese mandates that a minimum of  (3) three written estimates be recieved. On Nov 6th, a third contractor has submitted a written estimate for the Vestry to complete its review process.

 

October 2015: Three construction estimates have been sought and will be reviewed by the Vestry.  Adjustments to their final estimates for reconstruction to included replacment of some windows will also be reviewed by the Vestry before the end of the month.
